Ellipsis Jetpack MHS900LS

Verizon Wireless has made us aware of issues with the Ellipsis Jetpack MHS900LS. These devices contain batteries that expand and could be a potential fire hazard. Please unplug and discontinue using these jetpacks immediately. The school district is working with Verizon to obtain replacement devices and additional information will be communicated as it is available.

We have issued around 125 of these specific devices, so we have families who could be affected. Please quit using the Jetpack MHS900LS immediately. We are working with Verizon to replace the devices but do not have a timeline currently. We will be contacting families who have these specific devices tomorrow to determine a learning plan for the upcoming weeks.

Due to this unforeseen situation, we will not be in session tomorrow or Friday. We will resume with in person learning on Monday as mentioned earlier. We will be contacting families with these devices tomorrow to determine what will best assist their children with their learning in the immediate future.

We are sorry for this inconvenience. Please understand that student safety is number one, so please immediately quit using and unplug the Ellipsis Jetpack MHS900LS.
